At last the details are available for the Goldwing Light Parade accommodation at Blackpool.
You are advised to book early if you intend to go to this event as by all accounts the accommodation is superior to Pontins by a good margin.

Another Tweenie has been held at the Tudor Rose on 27th February. This followed the very successful one held at the beginning of February.
This Tweenie was unable to attract as many attendees as the last one, but in its defence there were competing events for members to attend this time, and with some being on holiday we were happy to see 5 couples in attendance.
We still managed to have a great evening with plenty of chatting taking place.
As the Tudor Rose was not as busy as last time, we had great food and excellent service.
It also goes to show that an old leopard can change its spot – Nigel did not have fish and chips for the second time running!!!! What’s more, Joanna did not have to put any pressure on him for this to occur!
All in all, a great evening in good company with good food to boot.

One group at the Tweenie
The February Tweenie was held at the Tudor Rose Pub, Two Mills on the Wirral on Saturday 6th February.
This was a new location for us and it was lucky that I had phoned up in advance as the Manager decided to reserve an area for us. It was a wise decision as the pub was quite busy throughout the evening. (more…)
The club has just taken delivery of a new sail banner for use at events. It is available for any members to take with them to any event that they wish in order to promote the club, if they have the space to carry it.
It is thanks to the grant from the Federation that we have been able to purchase this banner so let us make the most use out of it that we can.

Saturday 30th Jan was the Anniversary Bash for the GoldWings North West at the Feathers Hotel, Leyland, celebrating as the name suggests the 1st Anniversary of the formation of GoldWings North West.
It was a great event with about 80 people in attendance, all in the mood for a party and to make it worthwhile after all the efforts that Lesley Halley went to to arrange it. (more…)

To anyone with sense the weather of the past couple of weeks was the perfect time to get on with those tasks which have to be done with the bike off the road; servicing, repairs, renovations and similar tasks.
How do we fair in this country when the conditions deteriorate? Not very well it seems – the roads haven’t been gritted anywhere near enough and the roads are sheets of compacted ice and where the ice has melted loads of deep potholes. (more…)
At this late stage, the organisers of the Bike show due to take place 9th and 10th January have had to cancel the event due to the weather conditions.
The event is to be scheduled for later in the year.

Honest! I was looking at the trike...!
Tuesday 1st December I decided to miss a day at work and skive off to the Bike Show at the NEC.
The weather was not particularly good and I didn’t fancy my usual trip down on the bike. I also didn’t relish the prospect of driving the car down so for a change I went by train from Wrexham. What a wise decision! As I was by myself on this trip I reckon (more…)
