GoldWing North Wales members out to play with Elite Wings

Nigel and I joined Elite Wings several years ago but haven’t been away with them for quite some time (last year was a bit of a write-off due to the building works and Nigel being in and out of hospital!) so we decided we’d join them down in South Wales. Elite Wings suits us because they don’t do camping and therefore we get to stay in nice hotels around the country and enjoy a sociable time where we can chat to each other in comfort etc. (more…)

How do you upstage 10 Goldwing solos, 3 Trikes and a combination fully polished and on a static display?  Dead easy as it turns out.

I went to the new bike event at Heaton Park, Manchester and joined up with members  from GoldWings North West.  We were given a nice patch of hard-standing onto which we were able to fit the Wings. (more…)

It was a serious problem which caused Frank and Maggie McArdle to stop their GoldWing in North Wales on their way back from Italy to N. Ireland  – all the electrics had gone with no power at all. Frank tried one or two  tips he had been given to try and resolve the issue but on the side of the A55 at Northop Hall was not the place to be stripping down a 1500 Wing complete with full trailer and Mrs in tow. Eventually a call to a local GWEF member Carl Lewis, through the GWEF help-guide  brought some action to try and recover the Wing. (more…)
