It has just been released that Smiths Honda of Christleton are to be the sole sponsors for the Chester Lions Light Parade on 21st April.
This is the soon to be opened Honda Dealership on the Outskirts of Chester. This is great news for the Lions and for Goldwingers as a new dealership in Chester is very welcome.
The latest from the Hotel is that most of the block-booked rooms have been taken so we need to see if we can arrange a few more rooms to be available. The deal is on until the end of February so get your room booked if you want to stay at the Beaufort Park Hotel on the fabulous deal we arranged on behalf of the Lions. After that date the Hotel will be taking bookings from other sources and you chance not having a room at the hotel.
The Chester Chronicle featured the first promotional article about the Chester Lions Light Parade in the paper released yesterday. A couple of photos of Goldwings appear in the article as one would expect. Thanks to those wingers who turned up on the day for the photo-shoot.

As Dave T has said, We are now down to our last few rooms in the Beaufort Hotel, so you must book a.s.a.p. We still have rooms in the Latymer Hotel with secure parking, which is a good hotel with good negotiated rates, just minutes walk from Chester City centre.
Bike Parking
Anyone parking a non Goldwing, should use the Castle car park as the Saturday attendants are friendly Wingers and will direct you to the red perimeter tarmac, allegedly free of charge. This is a special provision as we are expecting a lot of non wings.

Maureen and self will be attending the Chester Lions Light Parade and would welcome information about which caravan/motorhome site is being used by any of GWNWales and GWNMidlands attendees in order that we can meet up.

Hi Dave,
At Smiths Honda with Ian Puliston Davies. It was a very good and friendly atmosphere.
I would say that the photo shoot April 11th was the best to date, due to Ian’s very friendly personality.
Ian was quite happy to stay and have photographs taken with who ever wanted to pose with him. I have arranged for Ian to start the Light Parade run from the Castle car park i.e. wave us off and then be a passenger on Jim Nightingales bike. I informed him about the Sunday ride out and the scooter rally, as Ian has a vintage Lambretta, he was very interested, so I have also arranged for Jim to carry him as a passenger on the ride out on Sunday (subject to confirmation)
