It was a good trip down to North Wales and a pleasant afternoon with you and your members. I do like the laid back format for your meetings, I've a lot to learn from you lot. Still surprised at the amount of interest we are receiving from Goldwing owners, looks like the federation concept is a winner. Only time will tell though. Thanks for your hospitality on Sunday, and especially the open house we had at Mackintosh towers. Nigel and Joanna are an absolute gem. By the way, got the bike back from Appleyards yesterday. What a good job they made of the old girl. Looks like a new bike. Will be back out on it ASAP. Dave.

Plus a nice surprise to see our friends from Yorkshire showing their faces. Although with such a large region with many Goldwing riders I hope they can somehow organize themselves into one large independent group. Though it was mentioned about smaller federation areas such as South Yorkshire and North Yorkshire etc. Good luck to them anyway in 2009. I remember only a year or two ago they organized an alternative event to the Treffen when it was held in Wincanton and apparently they had a good turn out. But the highlight for all of us was the goodies laid on at the Chase by Joanna and Alison. Lovely lovely lovely and the cakes and cookies were alright as well.
