What a tyrant you have for a wife Ed! Such a bully :)

How come you didn't mention destroying the pristine layer of snow in the Turvey back yard? They were both really upset about that, fancy p*****g your name in the snow - good job it's only two letters!

We have today 18th March had confirmation from Ian Puleston-Davies (Owen Armstrong the Builder from Coronation St.) that he has accepted our invitation to attend the LLP on Saturday 31st August.

Ian will attend the static daytime display and then ride on one of the lead bikes in the evening light parade.

You never know we may get him doing a spell of judging!

The Evans Hotel is booking up nicely now, so get booking folks!

For those wingers like me without heated grips - a suggestion - handwarmers, which are designed for skiers primarily also work well in bikers gloves. Last Saturday, being sunny I rode almost 200 miles - Llandegla, Bala, Barmouth, Harlech, Ffestiniog, Betws-y-Coed, Denbigh, Mold returning to Wirral. I'd intended to ride to Bala but after inserting the handwarmers in the back of light summer gloves I was amazed how cosy and confortable my hands were, thus enabling a most enjoyable extended Goldwing ride on virtually empty rodes. Also fantastic views due to leafless trees at this time of year. In short, well worth trying - according to the 'blurb' on the wrapper they can stay warm for up to 8 hours. I was considering buying electrically heated gloves, but not any more. Happy and safe riding. Best regards to all. Mike M

Ed,

Whilst I have nowhere near your experience of all weather riding, I cannot agree more with your article.
I have also had some of my most memorable rides in much less than perfect weather and on some smaller bikes than the Wing.
The Wing is a great bike for touring and going long distances, but occasionally some of the more local little lanes just need to be checked out, and the Wing just isn't the right bike to do it.
Please keep this type of article coming.
