Christmas! the time of year when you normally eat far too much food with people you don’t like and try to look happy you got another pair of socks. I was happy because our meal was not like that because nobody brought any socks! We had our normal monthly meeting before the meal and that went well and thanks were given to those who work on behalf of the club to make it all special, we even allowed for Stevie and went to no expense with table signs to make sure he felt welcome too.
You often see a different side to members when they have had alcohol and Paul was no exception, he decided to be himself as it was Christmas and the ladies did admire his earrings with envy.
One thing that nobody had done was tell Jan that when you have a meal at the Hotel they provide you with cutlery. It was so nice that she brought her own – but don’t bother next time Jan.
It is a nice time of year to get together with friends and think about all the things we have got up to during the year which i think has gone really fast. When you start looking back at photographs you realise we have had some great events, most of them on the club website thanks to Nigel & Jo.
I decided to let Nigel take the picture at this year’s Christmas meal only because he has a bigger flashgun than me, or so i am told!! It had nothing to do with my camera going faulty or not being able to walk with my bad leg from my parachute jump.
I am sure pictures will magically appear on the website when Nigel gets the time to develop the film, we really must chip in with buying him some more – he must spend a fortune.
Well that’s it for this Blog report, sorry its short i was going to mention about the table next to ours who decided to ignore the waitress and queue jump in front of our table to get their food before us, but i am not mean so i wont mention who it was (but they brought their mum and have a dog)!!
I am sure as soon as Stevie and Paul get their 1800′s next year i will have more to write about, OR is Santa coming early for somebody this year??

“Christmas meal by Ed”??? It sounds like you cooked it
It was a very pleasant time, as it always is – good friends make it all much better.

No mention of Jan’s lady biker health and beauty tips? “go and buy yourself one of those custom chopper bikes things with the really high ape hanger handlebars and you can exercise your bingo wings” Thanks Jan
